To develop a polypropylene resin fiber good in spinnability, excellent in texture and flexibility, and little in stickiness, and to develop a fibrous product such as a nonwoven fabric using the same.
The fiber has a propylene-ethylene block copolymer satisfying the requirements (A-i) to (A-iii) as at least one constituent of the raw material. Here, (A-i) to be a propylene-ethylene block copolymer (A) obtained by, using a metallocene catalyst, stepwise polymerization of forming at a first step 30-95 wt.% of a propylene homopolymer or propylene-ethylene random copolymer component (A1) having an ethylene content of not more than 7 wt.% and forming at a second step 70-5 wt.% of a propylene-ethylene random copolymer component (A2) containing ethylene 3-20 wt.% more than the component (A1); (A-ii) the melt flow rate (MFR: 230C2.16 kg) is in a range of 5-1,000 g/10 min; and (A-iii) the tan curve has a single peak below 0C in a temperature-loss tangent (tan) curve obtained by solid viscoelasticity measurement.
