Abstract:

To provide a novel technique for manufacturing an electroconductive polymer accumulated in a fiber shape.

An aprotic polar solvent solution or an alkali aqueous solution containing single-chain β-1,3-glucan is mixed with an aprotic polar solvent containing a monomer as a source of a desired polymer, and the resultant mixture is subjected to a polymerization reaction (particularly, a photopolymerization reaction or an oxidative polymerization reaction) after addition of water to give a fiber-like composite composed of the electroconductive polymer and β-1,3-glucan.
