To provide a ring coater coating method which causes no liquid drip from the coating film layer after the application of a coating on the surface of a substrate part of an electroconductive roller.
In the ring coater coating method for applying the coating on the surface of the substrate part 5 of the electroconductive roller 1 to form the coating film layer 4, the coating film layer 4 of the roller 1 is continuously subjected to an ultraviolet-irradiation treatment using an ultraviolet-irradiation means 18 just after the coating process, while causing the ultraviolet-irradiation means 18 to axially move relatively to the roller 1, to harden the surface of the coating film layer 4. Thus, the coating film layer 4 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays immediately after the coating, and particularly the coating film layer 4, just after coated by the ring coater 30 where the electroconductive roller 1 to be coated moves traverse in the vertical axis direction, is effectively dried/hardened while effectively preventing liquid drip to solve unevenness or nonuniformity of the coating film layer.
