To provide a fiber material excellent in exhaustion to the fiber and capable of expressing weatherability-improving effects for a long period by applying a weatherproof-imparting agent comprising a specific triazine-based compound as a main ingredient.
Weatherability is improved by applying 0.001-10 pts.wt., preferably 0.01-5 pts.wt. of a UV absorber expressed by the formula (R1 is an ethylene, a propylene or a 2-hydroxytrimethylene; R2 is a 1-18C alkyl; R3 and R4 are each H or methyl) to the surface of 100 pts.wt. of a fiber material such as a polyester fiber or the like. As an imparting method, the weatherproof- imparting agent comprising the aforesaid triazine-based UV absorber as a main ingredient is added to a water-based dye bath when dyeing the aforesaid fiber structure and treat the fiber structure together with dyeing at the same time.
