To obtain a fiber product treating agent composition capable of restoring the shape of deteriorated clothes and at the same time excellent in storage stability by compounding a specific water soluble polymer compound, softening agent and nonionic surfactant.
This fiber product treating agent composition is obtained by compounding 0.1-20 wt.% of a water soluble polymer compound selected from a group of a water soluble modified starch (its derivative) having a weight- average molecular weight of 5,000-500,000 and a water soluble cellulose derivative having a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000-500,000, for example, a cationized starch, 0.1-20 wt.% of a softening agent selected from quaternary ammonium compounds, and inorganic and organic acid salts of a tertiary amine, for example, ditaloyl dimethyl ammonium chloride and 0.1-5 wt.% of a nonionic surfactant of a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-type or the like, and adjusting its pH value into the range of 4-8.
