Title:
FIBER REINFORCED ALUMINUM ALLOY MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001335900
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive fiber reinforced aluminum alloy material excellent in wear resistance and capable of reducing hostility to a mating material.

The fiber reinforced aluminum alloy material is formed into a complex by dispersing prescribed volume percentages of nitrided alumina/silica fiber and carbon fiber in an aluminum alloy as a matrix. As the result of the integration of respective actions of the two fiber reinforcements owing to such a constitution as above, the fiber reinforced aluminum alloy material becomes inexpensive and excellent in wear resistance and also can reduce the hostility to a mating material, that is, the fiber reinforced aluminum alloy material excellent in sliding characteristics can be obtained.
