Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber structure having excellent adsorption capacity for cesium ions, which allows a cesium ion adsorbent to be firmly fixed, rarely causing exfoliation of the adsorbent; and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The fiber structure for adsorbing cesium ions includes fibers formed of two or more types of fibers having a difference in melting point of 30°C or more and/or polymers having a difference in melting point of 30°C or more, which are in an adjacent structure or a sheath-core structure. A cationic polymer compound having a tertiary or quaternary ammonium group and a cesium ion adsorbent are fixed to the fiber structure.
