Abstract:
To provide a fiber winder in which vibration of a traverse shaft is suppressed.SOLUTION: A fiber winder 10 comprises a gathering shoe 16 for converging a plurality of filaments 12 to form a strand 14, a collet 20 for winding the strand 14, and a traverse device 22 for traversing the strand 14 in the lengthwise direction of the collet 20 when the collet 20 winds the strand 14. The traverse device 22 comprises a straight traverse shaft 52 having one end 62 and the other end 64, a traverse 54 attached to the traverse shaft 52 and having a curved portion to which the strand 14 is applied, a motor 56 for rotating the traverse shaft 52, and a bearing 60 for surrounding and receiving the outer periphery of the traverse shaft 52 between the one end 62 and the other end 64 of the traverse shaft 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
