Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filament which is high in efficiency for converting electric power into visible light or near infrared light.SOLUTION: There is provided a filament including a plurality of holes provided randomly on a surface of a substrate 30 that is formed of metal, diameters of the holes being distributed in a predetermined range. The range of the distribution of hole diameters is set so as to include a range that is 1/4 times the total numerical range corresponding to a visible light wavelength band. The holes can be formed by electrochemical etching.
