Title:
FILLET SUBMERGED ARC WELDING METHOD OF LOW TEMPERATURE STEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61162294
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a weld metal having excellent cracking resistance by combining a specifically composed wire and flux and executing welding.

CONSTITUTION: The wire which contains 60W88wt% Ni and 10W38wt% Mo, contains 2.0wt% Al if necessary and is limited to ≤0.15wt% Si and ≤5.0wt% Cr is used. The flux which contains 20W80wt% metallic fluoride and 0.5W7.0wt% Al, is limited to ≤8.0wt% SiO2 and does not contain substantially Si is used. The fillet submerged arc welding is executed by combining the above- mentioned flux. Solidification cracking and microcracking are thus prevented and excellent bead appearance is obtd.
