Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a film coating machine for a lithographic roll which is able to coat efficiently the lithographic roll with a photosensitive film or a protective film on the photosensitive film, preventing the evaporation of volatile components in a coating liquid and removing bubbles in the coating liquid.
CONSTITUTION: A roll-chuck revolver A and a film coater B which is fixed on a Y table 7 placed on an X table 6 are installed. The film coater B, having a coating roll 9 in a minitank 8, applies a coating liquid spirally. The minitank 8 has a lid 10 and is partitioned to a storage vessel 8b and an overflow vessel 8c by a weir 8a. A recovery container 11 is installed on the X table 6 or the Y table 7. A pump 16 supplies the necessary amount of the coating liquid in the recovery container 11 to the storage vessel 8b in advance of the required time before the start of coating. After the finish of the coating operation, the coating liquid in the minitank 8 is recovered to the recovery container 11 by the primary pump 12 or the secondary pump 13. The roll-chuck revolver A stops rotary driving after the required time for drying of the film.
