To provide a film feeder having a film position correcting mechanism which can automatically performing the centering even when the center position of a fitted film is deviated from the center position of a device in a rear stage, and automatically performing the centering to the center of the device in the rear stage while feeding a film even when the film roll is wind-deviated.
This film feeder feeds film to the device disposed in the rear stage, and comprises a means for moving the film roll with the film wound therearound to the right-and-left direction with respect to the film drawing direction, a means for detecting an edge of the film which is moved in the right-and-left direction and drawn, a means for detecting the film position from the moving position of the film edge detecting means, and a means for position- controlling the film roll to a desired part by the film roll moving means based on the output of the film position detecting means.
