To obtain a film which, when used for a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, does not allow a self-adhesive to remain on an adherend and does not cause blocking even when its surface is not modified by compounding a polyolefin resin with a phenol or amine compd. having specified properties.
A polyolefin resin is compounded with an active hydrogen compd. to produce a film for a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet. Pref. examples of the active hydrogen compd. are an alkylphenol resin and a hindered amine compd., and the compd. pref. has a solubility parameter of 9.5(cal/cm3)1/2 or higher, still pref. 9.5-15(cal/cm3)1/2, and a wt. average mol.wt. of 500 or higher, still pref. 700-50,000. Because of such properties of the compd., it exists mainly at the surface of the polyolefin film and improves the anchor effect of the self-adhesive layer.
