Film having sensitivity ≥ISO 640 is used as photographic film for the film unit with a lens. The capacitance of the main capacitor of the stroboscopic device is made smaller than the conventional one corresponding to the increase of the sensitivity, and the capacitor whose capacitance is 50 to 80 μF is used. The inside diameter (d) of a xenon discharge tube 24 is set to 0.8 to 1.3 mm and the outside diameter (D) thereof is set to 1.8 to 2.3 mm. The filler gas pressure of the tube 24 is set to 110 to 230 kPa. By optimizing the dimension and the gas pressure of the tube 24, emitted light quantity is made large and efficient light emission is performed. By making the capacitance of the main capacitor small, the stroboscopic device is made small in size and light in weight. The film unit with a lens is specialized for high-sensitivity film, whereby unauthorized reuse is hardly performed.
