To provide a filter medium for an air filter that is suppressed in deterioration in strength and water repellency and has a high PF value, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A filter medium for an air filter is constituted of a wet type nonwoven fabric. The filter medium includes a glass fiber to which a surface-active agent is attached as part of component fiber.
