Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering and drying apparatus and method capable of continuously filtering and drying a raw liquid slurry.
SOLUTION: The outer periphery of a hermetically closed container 3, which is constituted so as to be capable of being pressurized and depressurized by curving the upper and under surfaces of the circular body part 2 of the container, is covered with a jacket 4 to constitute a filtering and drying tank 1 having a double wall structure and capable of supplying a heating medium into a double wall space. The container 3 is separated into a filter chamber 6 and a drying chamber 7 by a filter plate 5 and a rotatable stirring mechanism 13 is arranged in the drying chamber 7 and a discharge port 9 of dried matter is provided to the curved surface of the container in the vicinity of the inclined shoulder part of the container 3.
