To provide a filtration apparatus in which filter elements other than a regular filter element are prevented from being assembled.
The filtration apparatus 10 comprises a filter element 30 having an upper end support member 35 and a detachable cover member 40. A cover side projection 46 is formed in a lower face 41a of the main body part 41 of the cover member 40. The upper end support member 35 comprises a seal part 35c and a filter side recess 37. The seal part 35c is formed in the surrounding of an aperture 35a and enabled to contact tightly with the low face 41a of the main body part 41. The filter side recess 37 is formed at a position corresponding to the cover side projection 46 in the upper face 35b and fitted with the cover side projection 46 in the state that the seal part 35c and the cover member 40 are tightly brought into contact with each other. The filter side recess 37 has a shape expressing a prescribed letter, sign, or pattern. The cover side projected part 46 has a mirror shape of the filter side recess 37.
