PURPOSE: To minimize the generation of abrasion, rust, thermal deformation and the stick-slip phenomenon of a vise and to eliminate the magnetic influence to a work by forming the whole of a fine vise of ceramic.
CONSTITUTION: A screw 8 is rotated by a manual handle 9, and a movable jaw 4 connected to one end of the screw 8 is moved forward to a fixed jaw 2 on a slide plate 3. With this forward movement of the movable jaw 4, the movable jaw 4 and the fixed jaw 2 finely positions a work 11 through a base 10 of a vise, and pinch it. At this stage, all parts of this fine vise is made of ceramic. As a result, generation of abrasion, rust, thermal deformation and stick-slip phenomenon of each part can be minimized, while magnetic influence to the work 11 is eliminated, and accuracy of the fine vise can be maintained for a long time.
