Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve matching precision by avoiding missing of taking an optimal fingerprint image.
SOLUTION: Fingerprint images of high quality G1 to Gn are read (steps 101 to 109). The combinations of all the read fingerprint images are matched to calculate matching scores (steps 111 to 116). The averages A1 to An of the matching scores of the images G1 to Gn are obtained as reproductivity parameters (steps 118 to 121) and one of G1 to Gn, whose matching score average is maximum is made to be a registered fingerprint image GR (step 122).
