Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a fire extinguishing shell with which the extinguishant 3 can be scattered effectively at the site of a fire and which can hit the point of fire accurately.
CONSTITUTION: A vessel 2 of a fire extinguishing shell 1 is filled with an extinguishant 3, and vanes 4 are installed behind the vessel 2, and steering flaps 5 are attached to the rears of these vanes in such an arrangement as steered by a steering device 6. The shell 1 is induced certainly to hit the target point by making wired guidance of the steering device 6 through an induction wire paid off from a wire bobbin 7. The hit of the shell 1 is sensed by a sensor 9, and a gas generator 8 is actuated through a retarding mechanism 10. Because the gas generator 8 scatters the extinguishant 3 in a certain lag, the scatter of the extinguishant takes place after certainly intruding into the room upon breaking a window pane, etc.
