Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the fire fighting safely from a remote point without influence of a rising air stream, smokes, and flames generated by the fire.
CONSTITUTION: A helicopter 1 is put hovering in a safe place near the point 3 where a fire is generated, and a camera for maneuvering 2 is set facing the fire point 3. A fire extinguishing shell is thrown in acceleration so that it falls freely in a division s1. In the division s2, the shell is guided into the view field 4 of the camera 2 according to the predetermined program. In the division s3, wired induction of the shell is made through a guide wire 7 while the operator watches the image photographed by the camera 2, and the shell is guided so as to hit the target point.
