Abstract:

To provide a fire extinguishing system used locally within a fuel cell installation, which can extinguish a fire effectively especially before the fire expands.

A fuel cell module (2) of the fire extinguishing system has at least one fire detection sensor (9). Further, at least one internal nozzle (10) ejecting an extinguishing medium into the fuel cell module is formed in the fuel cell module (2).
