The fishing reel is such that: its spinning member 24(6) is rotatably supported on a nonspinning member 40(7) via two bearings 42A and 42B; and, between the two bearings 42A and 42B, a sealing member 60 made of an elastic material is laid so as to be sandwiched in between the mutual inner rings 42b or outer rings 42a of these bearings 42A and 42B; wherein the sealing member 60 has a circular body 62 sealedly fitted on one of the circumferential surfaces of the spinning member 24(6) and the nonspinning member 40(7) and an extended part 64 extended radially from the body 62 with its end 64a being in sealed contact with the other circumferential surfaces of the spinning member 24(6) and the nonspinning member 40(7).
