Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a grip having a soft gripping touch without the injury of a hand when gripped by winding yarn on the main body of the grip in a fuzzing state, the yarn being produced by spinning so that the ends of soft short fibers are fuzzed on the surface of the yarn.

CONSTITUTION: Filament yarn is mixed with soft short fibers, and subsequently spun so as to fuzz the ends of the short fibers 17 on the surfaces of the yarn. The yarn 15 formed thus is wound on the main body 13 of the grip of a fishing rod. The yarn wound on the main body of the grip is coated with a yarn-fixing agent such as an epoxy resin to fix the yarn 15 on the main body of the grip and prevent the easy falling of the fuzzed yarn.
