Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation device which can make a contact state between a power supply member and an electrode layer of a fixation belt excellent, prevent the occurrence of conduction failure, achieve extension in the service life of the belt as a heating rotor, and obtain an excellent image.SOLUTION: A backup member 108 which is brought into pressure-contact with an electrode layer 107 that contacts power supply members 81 provided substantially both ends of a fixation belt 100 via the fixation belt 100 is provided. The surface contacting the fixation belt 100 of the backup member 108 is formed of an elastic body. With this configuration, the contact state between a power supply ring 107 formed of a material having the high rigidity like metal and a resistance heating layer or electrode layer of the fixation belt 100 can be made excellent and the occurrence of conduction failure in a power supply unit can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
