SOLUTION: This device is constituted that, the clogging occurrence frequency of the transfer material P detected by a sensor 8 is respectively written in a memory 10 corresponding to each classified transfer condition and transfer material kind, and when the clogging successively occurs for a given frequency, or occurs beyond the given ratio on the sheet numbers of using transfer material P, a driver 12 works by a command of a controlling unit 11A, the spring force of a spring 7 increases by turning a gear 6 by shifting a adjusting bar 5, the clogging is released by increasing the press contact force of a parting pawl 3 with a fixing roller 1, history data corresponding with the respective transfer condition and transfer material kind, in other words history data of the occurrence frequency are written in the memory 10, by the history data being read out corresponding to the transfer condition and the transfer material kind being classified at the subsequent time, the fixing process is performed by setting the press contact force of the parting pawl 3 on the transfer roller 1, and the fix-processing of the excellent image is made possible by preventing the wear or damage of the fixing roller.
