To provide a fixing mechanism assembly which prevents the slide of sidewalls of a heat sink that holds a CPU.
The fixing mechanism assembly, which prevents the slide of sidewalls of a heat sink, fixes the heat sink. The assembly comprises a fixing module and a pair of clips. The fixing module has two engaging portions on the opposing sidewalls. The engaging portions and the clips fix the heat sink to the fixing module. Partitions are arranged inside all the sidewalls of the fixing module. Each partition has two parts, wherein a gap is formed at a location where the partition is connected to the inside-wall surface of the oppositely facing sidewall, and an elastic part that prevents the slide of the sidewall of the heat sink is housed in each of the gaps. The elastic part has a pressing part and a lead part. The heat sink is mounted on the fixing module with the lead part, while the pressing part is pressed by the heat sink.
