Varnish 28 is made to infiltrate between the inner walls of the slots in a core 22 and the slot insulators 24, disposed inside the inner walls from the positions facing the inner walls and the slot insulators, and thereafter the infiltrated varnish 28 is made to harden. Or, the following methods may be adopted: a method wherein a hole is formed in a portion of the slot insulator 24, positioned in proximity to the end face of the core 22, the varnish 28 infiltrated through coils 25 are infiltrated into between the inner walls of the slots in the core 22 and the slot insulators 24 from the holes in the slot insulators 24, and thereafter, the infiltrated varnish 28 is made to harden; a method wherein varnish is applied beforehand to the outer side faces of the slot insulators 24, and after the slot insulators 24 are placed in the slots in the core 22, the varnish is melted by heating and hardened, and the like.
