The fixing tool 1 is equipped with a buffer mechanism 2, a movable side hold-down part 3, a stationary side hold-down part 4, a screw shaft 5, a screw turning knob 7, a screw receptacle 8, a slipoff stopper 9, and a slide groove 10. The buffer mechanism 2 is arranged in a square hole provided in the movable hold-down part 3, and coupled to the bottom surface of the square hole with a spring 14. The buffer mechanism 2 moves fore and aft, and the pressure applied to the workpiece L gives a certain pressure with expansion and contraction of the spring 14. The pressure given to the workpiece is decided by selecting properly the modulus of elasticity of the spring 14.
