Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-resistant and abrasion-resistant resin compsn. satisfying characteristics such as mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, etc., even if an enough flame resistant agent necessary for flame resistance is compounded by improving dispersion of the flame resistant agent and an electric wire for an automobile using the compsn. as a coating material.
SOLUTION: This flame resistant resin compsn. contains a propylene/ethylene block copolymer and an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer as polymer components, and a metal hydroxide, and among the polymer components the propylene/ethylene block copolymer content is 90-45 wt.% and the ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer content is 10-55 wt.%, and the metal hydroxide content is 30-300 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the polymer component.
