PURPOSE: To obtain the subject adhesive excellent in blocking resistance, etc., useful for e.g. internal wiring covering materials, comprising a thermoplastic high-molecular weight polyester with the average estimated glass transition temperature defined by a specified relationship falling within a specific range and a bromoethylene-based compound-contg. flame retardant ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: This adhesive comprises (A) a thermoplastic high-molecular weight polyester with the average estimated glass transition temperature calculated from the relationship (Tgn is the glass transition temperature of a thermoplastic high-molecular weight polyester fraction as the n-th component; Wn is the weight of the thermoplastic high-molecular weight polyester fraction as the n-th component; W is the whole weight of the thermoplastic high- molecular weight polyester) and (B) a flame-retardant ingredient consisting of at least a bromoethylene-based compound, pref. comprising 5-60 pts.wt. of a metal hydroxide, 7.5-30 pts.wt. of the bromoethylene compound and 0-40 pts.wt. of antimony oxide. It is preferable that 100 pts.wt. of the component B be blended with 30-40 pts.wt. of the component A.
