Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a flame-retardant resin composition excellent in oil resistance and the workability, by incorporating two specified (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer/polyvinyl chloride) graft copolymers.
CONSTITUTION: 90W10pts.wt. graft copolymer (A) of 80W30wt% polyvinyl chloride with 20W70wt% ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA)[or ethylene/propylene copolymer (EP)]containing 60wt% or less vinyl acetate and 10W90pts.wt. graft copolymer (B) of 20W70wt% EVA containing 60W90wt% vinyl acetate with 80W30wt% PVC are mixed. When about 3W40pts.wt. flame retarder (e.g. antimony trioxide) is added to 100pts.wt. resulting base polymer, it will be rendered more highly flame-retardant.
