Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a structural element which allows the formation of packings of wide applications from a flat structural element without substantially losing material and can exhibit various shapes.
CONSTITUTION: The flat structural element has a plurality of openings 5 which are distributed according to a predetermined pattern for use in packings. Every opening is delimited by two edges, which are obtainable from plural fine strips 6 of flat material and are always adjacent to each other. The edges extend at prescribed angles to each other or are curved, and the fine strips 6 are connected to each other with butt or overlapping connections at end faces 33 associated with each other.
