To provide a flexible flat cable which is configured such that the tip end of a terminal is hardly curled up even if a cable end at which the terminal is formed is repeatedly inserted into/extracted from a connector, and which has a simple cable end constitution to allow efficient manufacturing at a low cost.

In a flexible flat cable, a conductive pattern layer 2 is formed on a surface of a flexible base film 1. A cover film 4 is attached to cover the conductive pattern layer so that a plurality of terminals 3 formed in a comb-teeth shape at the end of the conductive pattern layer can be exposed from a surface of the base film end. A projecting part 3a projecting toward both sides is formed at a tip end of each of the terminals 3, and a clearance 6 for short circuit prevention is provided between the projecting parts of adjacent terminals. The projecting part 3a enhances the coupling strength at the tip end of the terminal 3 so that the tip end can be hardly curled up, and the clearance 6 prevents short circuit between the projecting parts due to whisker. Because the constitution of the cable end is as simple as that of a conventional method, the flexible flat cable can be manufactured as effectively and inexpensively as a conventional process.
