To provide a floating body high-floor type base isolation structure using heavy muddy water preventing rolling generated in a structure in heavy muddy water in earthquakes, exhibiting superior base isolation performance corresponding to the input of a three-dimensional earthquake, and facilitating the maintenance works.
This floating type base isolation structure 4 is so constituted that the heavy muddy water 3 is stored in a vessel 2 formed in a ground 1, the underground part of the structure 4 is dipped in the heavy muddy water 3, and the weight of the structure is supported by the buoyancy of the heavy muddy water 3. The most of the weight of the structure 4 is supported by the buoyancy of the heavy muddy water 3 and the residual weight is supported by high-floor columns 5 erected from the bottom part 2a of the vessel.
