To provide a floating body inclined column type base isolation structure using heavy muddy water preventing rolling generated in a structure in heavy muddy water in earthquakes, exhibiting superior base isolation performance corresponding to the input of a three-dimensional earthquake, and scarcely requiring the maintenance.
This floating type base isolation structure 4 is so constituted that the heavy muddy water 3 is stored in a vessel 2 formed in a ground 1, the underground part of the structure 4 is dipped in the heavy muddy water 3, and the weight of the structure is supported by the buoyancy of the heavy muddy water 3. The most of the weight of the structure 4 is supported by the buoyancy of the heavy muddy water 3 and the residual weight is supported by a set of long and inclined columns 5 erected from the bottom part of the vessel.
