Abstract:
PURPOSE:To measure a flow rate with high accuracy and to remove adhering substances by providing a device for producing a turning flow which is equipped with a flow controlling mechanism allowing a fluid to be measured a guide pipe to turn during cleaning, but hardly changing the flow of said fluid in the normal state. CONSTITUTION:At the normal time, the flow of a working fluid is controlled so that the fluid is sent to a cylinder 12 through an electromagnetic three-way valve 18, and simultaneously, the working fluid at the upper side of the cylinder 12 is allowed to escape by an electromagnetic three-way valve 17, whereby a plunger 13 is retracted inside the cylinder 12 and plates 6a, 6b are retracted from respective passages. In this state, the flow rate is continuously measured with a predetermined accuracy by a flow meter 1. At the cleaning time, supply of the fluid into the cylinder 12 is switched thereby to press out the plunger 13, with the plates 6a, 6b being projected into respective passages. A flow controlling mechanism 5 is maintained in this state. In this state, the direction of the fluid running in a passage within a body 4 of a turning flow generating device 2 is changed by the plates 6a, 6b asymmetric to each other to an axis of the fluid. The fluid is flowing while turning, whereby the substance adhered to the wall of a guide pipe is detached therefrom.
