Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve accuracy in the flow rate measurement, to improve the operability, and to reduce the operation cost by forming a small-diameter passage part at the upstream end part of a metering pipe main body and judging whether or not there is a leak in a measurement system from the displacement of the measured liquid level at the passage part. CONSTITUTION:Measurement liquid is supplied to a fuel supply passage 1 and a metering pipe 21 through a supplementing valve 8 so as to reach the upper end part of the small-diameter passage part. Further, air is supplied to the metering pipe 21 through a pressure control valve 9 to apply specific pressure to the measurement liquid and supplied to a fuel injection valve 2 as a body to be measured through a measurement valve 10 simultaneously. It is judged from the output of a light reception device 26 whether or not the surface of liquid to be measured passes between a light emission device 26 and the light reception device 26 within a specific time from the start of the pressure application. Then when the measured liquid surface passes within the specific time, it is judged that there is a leak in the measurement system of one of the connection part between the passage 1 and injection valve 2, the supplementing valve 8, etc., and the flow rate measurement is interrupted to replace components.
