To inexpensively provide a fluid bearing device preventing lubricating oil leakage over a long period.
This fluid bearing device 1 is provided with: a substantially cylindrical bearing member 7 composed of a bearing sleeve 8 and a housing 9 die-formed by resin by inserting the bearing sleeve 8; a shaft member 2 inserted into the inner periphery of the bearing member 7; and a cover member 10 for blocking up a lower end opening of the bearing member 7. A seal part 92 for forming a seal clearance S between an outer peripheral surface 2a1 of the shaft member 2 and itself, is integrally arranged in an upper end part of the housing 9. An oil holding part 92a for holding an oil surface of lubricating oil on the inner periphery and a cover part 92b for reducing a clearance width of the seal clearance S on the atmospheric opening side of this oil holding part 92a, are integrally arranged in the seal part 92.
