Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid treatment apparatus capable of simultaneously solving various problems caused by fluctuation of a boundary surface without controlling the position of the boundary surface with a high degree of accuracy, in a method where a gas phase region and a liquid phase region coexist in a reaction tank.SOLUTION: The inside of a reaction tank 5 is formed with a gas phase region 60 in its upper part and formed with a liquid phase region 61 in its lower part continued to the gas phase region 60. The reaction tank 5 includes a pressure-resistant outer cylinder 57 and an inner cylinder 58 having corrosion resistance, and a catalyst 59 is disposed over the entire area of an inner peripheral surface of the inner cylinder 58. A fluid W to be treated and air A as an oxidant are introduced from the upper part of the reaction tank 5. Organic matter contained in the fluid W to be treated is decomposed by an oxidation reaction and the oxidation reaction is promoted by the catalyst 59. Inorganic matter precipitated in the gas phase region 60 falls into the liquid phase region 61 to be dissolved therein or to form slurry. The inorganic matter is discharged together with water of the liquid phase region 61. Even if a boundary surface BS between the gas phase region 60 and the liquid phase region 61 is fluctuated, the catalyst 59 function of promoting the oxidation reaction in the gas phase region 60 is not lowered and the corrosion of the reaction tank is prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
