Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly identify tissue property regardless of the intensity of a fluorescent light in obtaining a pseudo color image representing the tissue property of an organism tissue on the basis of a fluorescent image generated from the organism tissue by radiation of an excitation light.
SOLUTION: A statistic of a wide band fluorescent image is calculated in a statistic calculation means 403, and a gain (g) by which wide band and narrow band fluorescent image data WS and NS are multiplied is calculated on the basis of this statistic in a gain calculating means 404. The data WS and NS are multiplied by the gain g in a gain multiplying means 405, a color gradation of G is assigned to the wide band fluorescent image and a color gradation of R is assigned to the narrow band fluorescent image, and composite image data CS is obtained in an image compositing means 408.
