Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent discoloring defect of the color fluorescent screen of a cathode-ray tube.
CONSTITUTION: When a fluorescent screen is formed out of slurry of a phosphor including pigment, the pigment is rinsed with acid or alkali prior to formation of the phosphor slurry, and Cu likely to elude from the pigment in later processed is extracted previously. Thereby elusion of Cu ions in the later process is suppressed, which reduces a discoloring defect that causes part of the blue phosphor to emit green light.
