Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject multifilament yarn, having filaments with specific fluorescence continuously interlaced in the longitudinal direction and further filaments projecting from the surface of the aforementioned multifilament yarn and capable of producing a higher level of fluorescent properties.

CONSTITUTION: The objective yarn which is synthetic fiber such as polyester fiber containing ≥0.005wt.% fluorescent dye such as a perylene-based dye. The aforementioned fiber has a fluorescent intensity of ≥100ppm equiv. quinine sulfate. The constituent filament has continuous interlacements in the longitudinal direction thereof and preferably 100-400 filaments 2 projecting from the surface of the filament 1 per meter.
