Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluoroelastomer improved in cold resistance without detriment to the excellent resistances to heat and oil inherent in a fluoroelastomer.
SOLUTION: This fluoroelastomer is obtd. by copolymerizing tetrafluoroethylene, methyl vinyl ether, and vinylidene fluoride at about 0-70°C under a pH of 7-11 and comprises about 30-70 mol.% tetrafluoroethylene units, about 5-40 mol.% methyl vinyl ether units, and about 5-65 mol.% vinylidene fluoride units.
