PURPOSE: To obtain a fluororesin-coated cylindrical body and its production method for preventing an occurrence of a gap between the cylindrical body, such as a heat exchanger steel pipe, and a fluororesin tube applied to the outer peripheral surface thereof under a high-temperature use condition.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical body is preheated. A melt fluororesin is applied in a tubular form to the outer peripheral surface of the preheated cylindrical body. In this manner, since the residual shrinkage of the fluororesin tube applied to the outer peripheral surface of the preheated cylindrical body is larger than that when the cylindrical body is not preheated, and larger than the thermal expansivity of the resin, an occurrence of a gap between the fluororesin tube and the cylindrical body is prevented under a high-temperature use condition, and the fluororesin tube is kept in a close contact state.
