To obtain an inexpensive foamed lubricant for universal joint, long in service life, high in productivity as well, and capable of attaining its environmental burden reduction at the same time, and to provide a universal joint containing the foamed lubricant.

The universal joint is such that the foamed lubricant 10 is sealed up around a ball(rotor) 6. The foamed lubricant 10 is obtained by foaming a mixture comprising 1-80 wt.% of a lubricating component, 5-80 wt.% of a liquid rubber having intramolecular hydroxy groups, a curing agent and a foaming agent, wherein the curing agent is an isocyanate compound and the foaming agent is water.
