Abstract:
To provide a folding device which can limit the occurrence of a damage or the like on a product to a minimum, which can be folded irrespective of the number of products and which can perform a high-speed process with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A folding device 10 comprises: a first conveyor 11 that conveys a sheet-like article XA1 in a conveying direction T at a first speed V1; and a second conveyor 12 that is disposed below the first conveyor 11 serially to the first conveyor 11 with a prescribed drop h and that can receive the article XA1 released and dropped from a downstream side end 112E of the first conveyor 11. The second conveyor 12 travels at a second speed V2 lower than a first speed V2 during at least a part of a period for receiving the article XA1, drops the article XA1 from the first conveyor 11 to the second conveyor 12, and folds the article such that an upper surfacer Sf1 thereof being conveyed by the first conveyor 11 becomes the inside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
