Abstract:
To provide a selling system for food products configured to reduce food loss through sales promotion of short-dated food.SOLUTION: A food item selling system 11 includes: inventory information recording means 14 which stores first price information of a first food item which is a food item of which a predetermined deadline has not been reached, the predetermined deadline being one of a shipping deadline, a best-before date, and a reference deadline which is the date when remaining days before an arrival of an expiration date become a predetermined days, second price information of a second food item which is a food item provided together with the first food item and exceeding the predetermined deadline, information on the quantity of the second food item in stock, and a best-before date of the second food item; inventory information confirmation means 15 which confirms the inventory of the second food item when a consumer selects the first food item; price calculation means 16 which calculates, when the second food is in stock, a price of the second food item on the basis of information on a best-before date selected by the consumer; and information output means 17 which outputs the calculated price of the second food item to a terminal of the consumer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
