To provide a jaw/face form measuring instrument and method capable of easily grasping the front/rear positional relation of the upper/lower jawbones without any radiation exposure.
The jaw/face form is measured by press-contacting a first press-contact terminal 3 with an sN point or an sN' point on the face, a second press-contact terminal 11 with an sA point on the face and a third press-contact terminal 21 with an sB point on the face respectively and measuring an angle formed between a segment connecting the sN point or the sN' point to the sB point and a segment connecting the sN point or the sN' point to the sA point. A correlation between the angle measured by the press contact between the first press-contact terminal 3, the second press-contact terminal 11 and the third press-contact terminal 21 and an ANB angle measured by a cephalogram analysis is previously found and the ANB angle to be measured by the cephalogram analysis is estimated from the angle measured by the press contact between the first press-contact terminal 3, the second press-contact terminal 11 and the third press-contact terminal 21 based on the correlation.
