PURPOSE: To form the multi-color thick pattern of the thermosetting plastic material on a base member, e.g., felt, cloth, etc., with good efficiency by a method in which the recessed hardened plastic of an intaglio is replaced by a colored thermosetting plastic, the base member is lapped on the intaglio plate to transfer the thermosetting plastic of the recessed portion to the base member, and the base member is separated from the intaglio plate.
CONSTITUTION: A plastic material is packed into plural recessed portions 2, 3 and 4 for forming a multi-color thick pattern by using a squeegee and heated for hardening. The hardened plastic 5 is removed, the recessed portion 2 is made empty, and a thermosetting plastic 6 tinted with a desired color is packed into the portion 2. These operations are repeated to fill all the recessed portions with thermosetting plastics, and a base member 9 is lapped on the intaglio plate 1, heated and pressed to transfer the plastics 6, 7 and 8 packed into the recessed portions 2, 3 and 4 to the blase material 9. After the plate 1 is cooled, the base material 9 is separated from the plate 1 to obtain a three-dimentional multi-color thick pattern on the base material 9.
